Columbus College of Art & Design's Advanced Placement Summer Institute brings together aspiring and experienced AP educators, college faculty, and community partners in art education to determine a dynamic plan to facilitate exceptional art work among high school students, develop valuable skills, renew creative energies, and network with colleagues. Each morning you will attend lectures and organizational sessions. Then spend every afternoon making your own art in hands-on sessions with tracks in drawing and design.

Who should attend the Advanced Placement Summer Institute?

  • Art educators, arts administrators, and school Principals who are new to the Advanced Placement Studio Art program
  • Art educators, arts administrators, and school principals who have experience with Advanced Placement but who may wish to renew creative energies, gain new ideas and exposure to college level foundation courses in drawing and two-dimensional design, and network with colleagues.
  • Any art educator or artist who would like to participate in discussions and activities centered on drawing, design, and foundation courses developed by a college dedicated to art and design.
